Top ten hangover cures
It's hard to escape a hangover at this time of the year. Thanks to office parties, after-work drinks and cupboards stocked with Christmas spirits, it's easy to overindulge. But the good news is that you can avoid hangovers altogether, or at least minimise the effects.
Prevention is better than cure, so it pays to eat before you go out, or at least have a glass of milk or a milkshake to protect your stomach from the irritating effects of booze.
Avoid dark-coloured drinks like red wine and dark spirits, as these are more likely to make you suffer the next day, and remember to drink water in between drinks and before bed, so that you don't get dehydrated.
